Welcome to Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping

It's Festival Day in Jedburgh on Friday 13th of July , an amazing day out to experience, find out more in our latest Blog Post.

On advice of Scottish Fire and Rescue Service we will not be able to offer camp fires on site during this very hot, dry weather. Sorry to do this but the risk of wildfire is very high. Thank you for understanding.

We are very pleased to have two new members of staff join the Wild Woods Team for Summer 2018, Matthew and Elaine. Matthew and Elaine will both be helping in the Hub and in the woodlands. They're both currently training and finding out exactly what a Hub Hero is!

Availability for Saturday 18th & 19th May is filling up fast: the walled garden is now full; three pitches left in Minto View and three in Castle View and one Safari Tent left; Gledswing Lookout is available for the Friday night only.

Well the wedding was wonderful, what a joy to host such beautiful event, congratulations to the bride & groom!

We are very excited to be hosting a wedding here on this coming May bank holiday weekend, preparations are in full swing to have the garden looking its best for this and for the rest of the summer. Sorry to those looking for availability on Saturday the 5th and Sunday 6th May, we do have spaces on Friday 4th and from Monday 7th.

Spring is definitely here at last! The pond is full of life, the frogs, toads and newts are enjoying the sunny days and the new aquatic plants are growing well. A camper in Castle View had a nice morning watching a robin build a nest right beside his pitch and only last week visitors to Roe Deer Rest spotted the Goshawk!

Welcome to 2018, we open for the season on Friday 23rd March. Nicky, Cath and Rae are busy getting the campsite ready for your visits, we're all looking forward to seeing returning and new faces arriving on site! The birds are singing, deer are visiting and the garden is showing sure signs of growth - bliss!

Thank you for all the great reviews. We have just been awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the 4th year in a row as a result! Having been Runner Up in the Best Campsite Category in the Scottish Outdoor and Leisure Awards 2016 , and "Scottish Borders Tourism Business of the Year 2015 we are very glad people feel we are still providing a wonderful camping experience.

Hub Hero Nicky & Hill Hero Rae recently enjoyed a great day out on a Familiarization Trip organised by the Borders Railway outreach programme, and now know all about lots of things to do and visit when you are with us. So please do pick their brains.

The wonderful sunny spell has been enjoyed by returning and new tented camping friends, and we look forward to seeing you (provided you have a tent of course, or are Glamping in our remote but luxurious Safari Tents - we are not able to take caravans, motor homes or trailer tents)
