• Walking

The Scottish Borders has some of the most breathtaking scenery in the UK. The absolute must is to climb from the campsite up to the top of Ruberslaw (424 m). You will have a fantastic 360° view south and east over Rulewater to the Cheviots and the English Border, north over Teviotdale to the Eildons, Ettrick Forest and the Moorfoot Hills, and west to Craik Forest. • History

Stand on Ruberslaw's rugged summit like an Iron Age farmer/warrior in the tribes' hill fort, worrying about Roman Governor Agricola's legions advancing in 80 AD over the Cheviots Hills, down Rulewater and into Teviotdale. READ MORE…

News & Latest Information

Welcome to Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping

Last year, the team all worked really hard to make sure our guests had the best possible experience at Ruberslaw Wild Woods! So much so, that we were the Runner Up in the Best Campsite Category in the Scottish Outdoor and Leisure Awards 2016 - Well Done Team, and Thank You Campers!

"Scottish Borders Tourism Business of the Year 2015" - that's Us! This award was a superb recognition of everyone's hard work at Ruberslaw Wild Woods Camping.

2017 Welcome's some new members to the Ruberslaw Wild Woods Team! Lee, The New Campsite Guru, and Cath, and Nicky, our new Hub Heroes join Ruth and Rae who are returning once again to Welcome you all this season!

Finding your way around is becoming easier as we add more signs pointing the way to the woodland and hill pitches, to complement the route explained to you when you check in. Other improvements include more space between pitches in the woods - for example 2 new foot bridges in Home Wood give access to more secluded pitches across the burn.

We all look forward to meeting returning and new tented camping friends in 2017
